Even in winter, walking in nature supports your mental health, helps regulate sleep and mood, and balances your circadian rhythm. Here’s why it’s worth finding the light, even on grey days.

It might begin quietly — maybe over a cup of tea, in a moment when the house is still. You notice a thought rising: I think I’d like to talk to someone.
Someone who listens without judgement.
Someone who can help you make sense of things that feel tangled.
Choosing a counsellor is a meaningful step. It takes courage and self-care to even start looking. And because it’s so personal, it’s worth taking a little time to find someone who feels right for you.

Life moves fast — and sometimes we forget to slow down long enough to notice how we’re really feeling. A Little Friday Pause is a weekly reflection, a small moment to breathe, reset, and reconnect with yourself.
Each Friday, I share gentle thoughts and reminders drawn from my work as a counsellor and my own journey of learning to pause — to look after myself, to reflect, and to find small moments of calm in the chaos.
You don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need a little space to pause. 💛

Following on from World Mental Health Day, I’m beginning something new — something I’ve wanted to create for a long time: A Little Friday Pause.
Each Friday, I’ll be sharing a short, gentle reflection — an invitation to slow down, take a breath, and check in with yourself. Life can be fast, noisy, and full of expectations. Sometimes what we need most isn’t to do more, but to pause — to notice how we’re really feeling, without judgement or pressure.
